How to arrange a barber visit to your villa or hotel in Koh Samui

What to send, what to prepare and what gets confirmed when you request a NextCut house call at your accommodation in Koh Samui.

House Call is a service on our menu, priced at ฿1,850, with duration and travel time confirmed when the visit is arranged. This is what the process actually looks like from your side.

1. Send the request early

A house call takes a barber out of the shop for a block of time, so availability depends on the day's bookings. The earlier the request, the more likely we can cover the time you want. There is no online self-booking for this — message us directly through the channels on the contact page.

2. Include these details

  • The date, and how flexible the time is.
  • The full address or the name of the villa or hotel, plus a map pin if you have one.
  • How many people, and roughly what each person wants — haircut, beard, or both.
  • Any fixed deadline, such as a ceremony or a flight.

Location matters because travel time is part of the appointment. Somewhere far from Bophut may limit which slots we can offer, so we confirm each address individually rather than assume blanket coverage of the island.

3. Wait for written confirmation

We come back with whether we can cover it, the time, and the total for the services requested. Extra people or added services are quoted before we travel, so there are no surprises at the end. Payment is Thai baht cash or Thai bank transfer.

4. Prepare the space

Ten minutes of setup makes a large difference to the result.

  1. 01A hard chair without arms, somewhere with a hard floor or a terrace rather than carpet.
  2. 02Bright, even light — daylight from a window, or the brightest room in the villa.
  3. 03A power socket within reach of the chair.
  4. 04A mirror the person can actually see themselves in.
  5. 05A shower nearby, since a proper wash isn't part of a house call.

What to do before the barber arrives

Everyone being cut should have clean, dry, unstyled hair, and a fresh-water rinse if they've been in the sea. Have reference photos ready on a phone. If several people are being cut, agree the running order in advance so nobody is waiting around in a towel.

What a house call doesn't include

A basin wash, the full range of shop equipment and the shop's lighting stay in Bophut. For technically demanding work — a fresh skin fade, colour, perming — the chair in Fisherman's Village is the better setting. The comparison between the two goes into the trade-offs.

If it turns out the shop is easier after all, the location page has directions, and you can book a specific barber online in under a minute.

All FAQs
How far in advance should I request a house call?
As early as you can. A house call takes a barber out of the shop for a block of time, so availability depends on the day's bookings. Message us with your date, location and the number of people and we'll confirm whether we can cover it.
Are house calls available everywhere in Koh Samui?
The service covers Koh Samui, but we confirm each location individually rather than promise blanket coverage. Travel time is part of the appointment, so somewhere far from Bophut may limit which times we can offer. Send us the address and we'll tell you what's possible.
How is the house-call price confirmed?
House Call is listed on the Services page at ฿1,850, with duration and travel time confirmed when we arrange the visit.
