The questions we're asked most, answered in full. Everything else lives in the complete FAQ.
- You don't have to, but we recommend it. Fisherman's Village gets busy in the evenings and through high season, and booking is the only way to guarantee a specific time or a specific barber. A booking takes under a minute online, and if your plans change you can move it. Walk-ins are always welcome when a chair is free.
- Yes, and many do. You can book from anywhere in the world through Fresha, including before you fly. Times are always shown in Thailand time (ICT, UTC+7), so double-check the conversion from your home timezone before confirming. Booking your cut for the first day or two of your trip is a good idea if you have photos, a wedding or a dinner planned.
- Yes — walk-ins are welcome every day we're open, subject to a barber being free. Quieter windows are usually late morning and mid-afternoon; evenings and weekends are the busiest. If we can't take you straight away we'll tell you honestly how long the wait is, and you're welcome to grab a coffee in the village and come back.
- Every price is listed on our Services page, in Thai baht, with the duration next to it — nothing is hidden and nothing is added at the chair. Individual services are priced separately, and our Premium Care packages bundle a haircut with beard, wash and facial work at a set price. Hair colouring and perming are quoted after a short consultation, because the work depends on your hair.
- You pay at the shop after your service. Nothing is charged when you make the booking online. We currently accept Thai baht in cash or Thai bank transfer.
- A standard men's haircut is around 45 minutes, which gives the barber time to consult properly, cut, blend and finish rather than rush. A haircut with a beard trim runs longer, and the Premium Care packages longer again. Exact durations are shown next to every service on the menu, so you can plan the rest of your day around it.
- Yes. The team speaks Thai and English, and we cut hair for guests from all over the world every week. If you're more comfortable in another language, bring a photo of the cut you want — between that and a short conversation, nothing gets lost.
- NextCut is in Fisherman's Village, Bophut, on the north coast of Koh Samui — Moo1 33/3, Bo Put, Ko Samui District, Surat Thani 84320. We're within walking distance of Bophut Beach, the Walking Street and The Wharf Samui. The Location page has a live map and one-tap directions.
